Marina is a little girl who cannot walk. But she loves swimming. Ever since she was born, her father has been carrying her around, worried that nothing will happen to her. ‘Hi ha una sirena al meu saló‘ is based on the true story of Valentina, a seven-year-old girl with SMA, spinal muscular atrophy, a disease that prevents her from walking but at the same time gives her the strength to jump into the pool of life.
