“NO SOY TU GITANA” is a theatrical monologue, created by Silvia Agüero and Pamela Palenciano, in which the historical public image of gypsy women is deconstructed, from 1499 until today; a stereotype that obeys patriarchal and sexist logic.

It shows the idea of the gypsy woman constructed by the minds of the powerful: white, men, payos, Catholics… through the laws that have persecuted her identity and, also, through the fiction promoted by the most current dominant culture.
