The contemporary ecological-social crisis is so profound that it invites us to reconsider the very foundations of the dominant ideologies and common sense. Will not the quest for domination over nature be counterproductive? Does it make sense to consider ourselves as individuals separated from their semblances and from ecosystems? Is anthropocentrism not leading us too far astray? Perhaps we can move towards what might be called a ‘symbioethics’ for terrestrial beings, for Homo sapiens who truly decide to assume the human condition in the biosphere of the third planet of the solar system.
This activity is included at the project ‘Humanidades ecológicas y transiciones ecosociales. Propuestas éticas, estéticas y pedagógicas para el antropoceno, PID2019-107757RB-I00’.
At the same time, the sound installation ‘Acuática‘, by the Dutch Bosch&Simons will be inaugurated on the roof of the Theatre.
