Néstor Mont, ‘Cançons d’abraçar arbres’ (Songs of embracing trees)
Néstor Mont, born in Algemesí, has been a singer-songwriter and guitarist for more than 30 years, self-taught by training, who began his career in pop-rock groups. A few years later, he dedicated himself to his side as a singer-songwriter with the classical guitar as the main instrument in his compositions.
‘Cançons d’abraçar arbres’ is born from the singer’s texts and reflections, which are pampered by the sonority provided by the quintet formation, with:
Jordi Pastor, violin and accordion.
Vicent Colonques, piano
Xuso Barberà, double bass
Robert Moreno, drums
Eva Gómez, ‘El cel i les formes del vent’
Eva Gómez’s latest album is a tribute to human qualities, to nature and to love. Based on guitar and bouzouki, accompanied by violin, mandolin, Turkish saz and wheel viola, she invites us to recognise those ephemeral moments that can change our lives. A subtle female percussion creates a rhythmic sonority that is both soft and forceful at the same time.
She now shows this work in trio format, with a simple presentation in essence that leaves a traditional acoustic sound with purely folk instruments.
Eva Gómez: vocals, guitar, bouzouki.
Laura Miñarro: wheel viola, violin, mandolin, saz, vocals.
Manel Chust: percussion
*Nominated for Best Author’s Song Album at the Carles Santos Valencian Music Awards 2020.
